Christmas – a season of giving

God gave us his Son!
What greater gift could there be? Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (2 Cor 9:15)

A suggested book for you to give
All About Heaven was written by David Oliver to answer his own questions following his son’s death. Where did my son go? What is he doing? Although a church leader David realised he could not readily answer these questions nor find books or sermons that gave the understanding he sought. This book is the result of his own searches.

David asks good questions and presents Biblically based answers as well as drawing on stories of those who have had Near Death Experiences. I have found this very accessible and helpful. You may like to give it as a present – or ask for it for yourself.

Give to those who have little
At Christmas we get bombarded with requests for charitable giving. But often we do not have any knowledge of the charity or how accountable the use of any donation will be.

I have the privilege of chairing the charity that funds Donna Bloomfield’s amazing work in Burundi, Hope for Tomorrow Global. What she achieves with her team on the ground is truly remarkable! If you want to give to something really worthwhile this Christmas look at the recently updated website. Click the picture to explore the site or go straight to the Christmas Crisis Appeal.

Thank you! And thank for reading my blog over the past year. May I wish you a very Happy and covid-free Christmas. See you next year!
